Dr. Karen Hovav, MD, FAAP

Dr. Hovav is a board-certified Pediatrician in Beverly Hills and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She completed her residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles after graduating from medical school at Sackler School of Medicine in Israel. After working as a pediatrician for a decade, she chose to dive head first into parenting adventures by having three children in two years. She enjoys chasing after her rambunctious boy/girl twins and their wanna-be-a-triplet little brother with her husband in Sherman Oaks CA. She can be found caring for patients at Beverly Hills Pediatrics – The Valley.

Dr. Lin was born and raised in Torrance, CA. She attended college at UCLA and medical school at UC San Francisco, then completed her pediatric residency and chief residency at UCLA. Dr. Lin is a board certified pediatrician and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is currently practicing at UCLA Santa Monica Pediatrics. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, biking, travelling, cooking, and baking.

 

Dr. Paula McAllister, MD, FACOG

Dr. McAllister is a board-certified OBGYN. She was born and raised in Southern California where she attended UCLA and earned her undergraduate degree in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics. She then received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, and is currently in private practice in L.A. Dr. McAllister enjoys spending time with husband and three young sons — much of it spent cheering on her boys out on the soccer field.

Dr. Mary Shannon, DDS

Dr. Shannon is a board-certified Pediatric Dentist in Santa Monica, CA. She completed her dental school training and pediatric residency at UCLA where she has also been a part-time faculty member. She currently shares a private practice with her husband who is a Prosthodontist. Dr. Shannon enjoys spending time with her two daughters, traveling, reading, and is an active member at Brentwood Presbyterian Church.

 

Susie Menkes, PHD, CPSC

Susie Menkes, the founder of Healthy Little Sleepers, is a certified pediatric sleep consultant and applied developmental psychologist. She completed her doctoral work at Claremont Graduate University and received her certification in pediatric sleep through the Family Sleep Institute. She is an active member in the Society of Research in Child Development and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Susie is a native of Los Angeles, where she currently resides, and you can find her baking with her kids, sneaking in a workout, and writing her newsletter, the Healthy Little Note, with info on the first five years of life (and beyond).

Dr. Jane Rosen, PsyD

Dr. Rosen is a therapist in private practice and director of the IKAR preschool in Los Angeles. She has a Master’s Degree in Art Therapy and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology as well as a certificate in Infant Mental Health from Cedars-Sinai, where she completed two clinical fellowships. Specializing children’s sensory integration, early childhood education and family systems therapy, Jane has worked for the past 35 years in the assessment and treatment of challenges throughout the life cycle. She also facilitates Parent & Me classes throughout L.A. including at The Wright Mommy & Me, The Family Room, and the IKAR Early Childhood Center.

Elena Vogel, CD (DONA), IBCLC

Elena became a board-certified lactation consultant after years working as a birth & postpartum doula. While women face many challenges in new motherhood, breastfeeding ones are a constant, and Elena found herself naturally drawn to helping mothers resolve these issues. She earned her certificate from UCSD’s lactation consultation program in 2011 and has since helped countless moms and babies throughout greater L.A. Elena holds a BA in literature from Bard College, and when she’s not traveling from mom to mom on busy freeways, she enjoys reading, biking, swimming, and spending time with family.
