STAINED GLASS HEARTS

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Crush the jolly ranchers with a hammer or mortar and pestle.
  2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
  3. Prep the cutting board or counter with flour. Sprinkle flour on a rolling pin as well.
  4. Roll out the dough to be about 1/3 or 1/4 inch thickness
  5. Use large size heart shaped cookie cutter to cut into the dough.
  6. Leave the cutter on the dough without removing yet.
  7. Use a smaller heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out a smaller heart cutout inside the bigger cutter.
  8. Remove the inner cutout excess. Transfer the heart shaped border onto a baking sheet with lined parchment paper.
  9. Repeat this step for as many cookies as you want.
  10. Go back to the crushed jolly ranchers, fill in the center of each heart shaped cutout cookie dough 1/2 – 1/3 way to not overflow while baking.
  11. Stick the cookies in the oven for 10 – 12 mins checking after about 8 minutes to make sure they don’t burn.
  12. Leave to cool.
