The rules of the baby food game are changing! Peanut foods are now in play early on and we’re sharing 3 fun ways to let your baby start enjoying this protein-packed food.
Thinned Peanut Butter
Take 2 teaspoons of peanut butter and add 2-3 teaspoons of hot water, formula, or breastmilk. It’s important that you thin it out when you’re giving it to a baby. It will be a puree-consistency.
Peanut Butter and Puree
Just mix it in with some good old-fashioned purees of fruits and veggies. We made a banana, peanut butter, raspberry puree and Eli loved it. Try adding pureed grapes and it’s delicious!
Bamba
These are SO good. You will need a lot of self-control to not eat this whole bag yourself. They’re basically cheese-puffs, but instead of cheese it’s peanut butter. Babies love these. You can give to them as is, or soften them with a little bit of water.
If your baby has a family history of allergies or is considered high risk you can go to https://preventpeanutallergies.org/ for more guidelines, and of course, consult your pediatrician for guidance!
