My kids love playing with their little figures so we decided to kick it up a notch and try making stop motion videos. There is definitely a learning curve, but once they got it, they didn’t want to stop… motioning. Age 4+ while heavily supervised, Age 6+ to master!

- Tripod: DIY or treat yourself to a phone tripod or magnetic ipad stand
- Toys (moveable ones that stand on their own are best)
- Stop Motion App Free or Premium for $9.99

The key with stop motion is to keep your camera (or ipad) as still as possible (shadows and lighting too!) Your kids will snap a picture, move toys a tiny bit, snap a picture, move toys… you take a shower, maybe get some emails done, win-win. Delete unwanted frames at the end and export the masterpiece. Just don’t let your toddler-toy-wrecker walk in on what’s happening mid-movie… lol, it’s not pretty.
