To kick off the new year we’re playing five epic photo games! Here are the photo games we tried (and loved).
Guess That Person
- Guess Who Board Game
- Photos
- Props
First a customized “Guess that Person” game and yes this is a total project but such a fun one! First, we took a bunch of different pictures with different looks pulling out all the costumes and mustaches we could find in the house. Then I put all of these photos on one page and then printed them out. We cut them up and slid them into the board game. My kids had so much fun playing with this and I think it’s safe to say we’re keeping it forever.
Photo Memory
- Sticky back photo paper
- Photos
- Cardstock
This one was super easy to set up thanks to the HP photo app. I pulled 10 photos directly from my Instagram feed and printed them on social media sticky paper and then stuck them on cardstock. We set them up face down and switched off flipping them over (two at a time) to see who could find more matches. This is one of Presley’s favorite games, probably because she always wins.
Pin the Binky
- Glue dots
- Photos
I loved this game when I was little! First we printed out nice big photos and some fun clip art. Second, we attached glue dots (instead of pins–a little safer). Next, we put blindfolds on and the kids, spun them around a few times and let them try and pin it where they thought it went! This is really funny, and by the way, much harder than it looks!
Dry Erase Scribbles
I think this was their favorite. All you need is dry erase markers and laminated photos. They loved being able to erase them and start something new. Such easy cleanup if they make a mistake, I think the kids could have done this all night!
Photo Puzzles
We printed out a 5×7 photo, lined up big popsicle sticks and held them together by tape. We then used spray adhesive to stick our photos on, and then cut any paper hanging over the edge with an Exacto knife. Ford usually shies away from puzzles but with a little assistance he ended up loving this one.
I hope you make it a resolution to get those photos off your phone and start having fun with them!
