Creative Halloween Snacks that Won’t Compete with All the Candy

There’s no way around the fact that your kids are coming home with a pillow case full of candy on Halloween. So make sure you fuel them up with healthy, fun snacks in a festive theme before they head out.

1) Bloody Band-aids

INGREDIENTS

  • Graham crackers
  • Cream cheese
  • Strawberry jam

DIRECTIONS

  1. Break graham crackers into quarters and spread a little cream cheese down the center, and dollop with some jam.

2) Cheese Sandwiches

INGREDIENTS

  • Slices of cheese
  • Tortillas

DIRECTIONS

  1. Use halloween cookie cutters and cut tortilla and cheese into fun spooky shapes.

3) Pumpkin Peppers

INGREDIENTS

  • Orange peppers
  • Red peppers
  • Green peppers
  • Hummus
  • Snap peas

DIRECTIONS

  1. Take pepper and cut out a jack-o-lantern face.
  2. Cut top off and scoop out the inside.
  3. Cut your other veggies and use to fill your pumpkin along with the hummus.

4) Pumpkin Carrots

INGREDIENTS

  • Carrots
  • Ranch

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cut down the center two little lines and on an angle slide out a little piece to shape your stem and the red of the carrot is the pumpkin.
  2. Cut the carrot into little chips and pair with ranch!  

5) English Muffin Pizzas

INGREDIENTS

  • English muffins
  • Shredded cheese
  • Pizza sauce
  • Olives

DIRECTIONS

  1. Spread pizza sauce on your english muffin and cover with cheese. Cut up olives to make the spider.
  2. Place in toaster oven and toast!
