3 Unique Ways to Braid Hair

Ready for some new twists on your everyday braid? These 3 styles are cute enough for Pinterest, practical enough for a soccer game, and easy enough to do before school drop-off!

Braid Headband
Clip half the hair up and the remaining section I divide into 2 and braid all the way down. Loosen up the hair to make it look thicker. Bring the braids up and around and make it look like a cute headband and secure each side with a bobby pin. Finally, pull a few pieces of hair at the top and on the sides. This one only takes 1 minute which is amazing when you’re running late for school!

Dutch Side Braid
Pull the hair under rather than over like you do for a french braid.  Add an extra strand of hair on each side just like you do with a french braid.  Stop the dutch braid just under the ear and secure with an elastic. Sweep the rest of the hair to the side and secure it again.  Finally, loosen up the braid and then take a strand from the ponytail and wrap it around the elastic. This one does actually take a bit of practice because it doesn’t feel natural at first, but I’m telling you to stick with it because the end result is so cute!

Three-in-One Super Braid
Start off with a half pony and flip the hair through like a topsy tail.  Then divide the hair into three sections and braid each one down. Now braid all three into one big braid and then loosen it up. That’s it! This one is surprisingly easy. She can rock it with a soccer jersey or with a cute dress.
