Chalkboards are not just for school anymore. You can transform any wall or surface into a chalkboard with this chalkboard paint recipe. Be sure to mix it up with a bunch of different colors– the possibilities are endless! Then whip up some lego sidewalk chalk and your afternoon is made!
SUPPLIES
- 2 TBSP Plaster of Paris
- 3 TBSP acrylic paint
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine plaster with 1 TBSP water and mix together well.
- Once you have a nice smooth consistency add your paint and give it a good mix.
- To condition the chalkboard and make it easier to write on, take a piece of chalk and rub it lightly all over the board. Then take a damp rag and wipe it gently off.
NOTE: Depending on the surface you’re painting you’ll need 1-3 light coats.
