3 Pigtail Styles That Are Double The Cuteness

Pigtails are not only a classic (like these braids), but they look adorable on everyone. Take your little piggies up a couple notches with a few new styles– perfect for curly hair, long hair, and even your most impatient ones’ hair.

Criss Cross Pigtails
INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Start by parting the hair right down the middle.
  2. Take a small section on top and tie it in a ponytail. Do the same on the other side.
  3. Twist one piece and carry it over to the opposite side and secure with a hair band.
  4. Repeat on the other side.

This is great for all types of hair but especially for the little ones who won’t sit for very long!

Twisted Buns
INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Start by parting the hair right down the middle.
  2. Section the hair into two sections.
  3. Grab a section at the top and split into two pieces and start twisting them together.
  4. As you go down, add more sections of hair into the twist. This is similar to a french braid but it’s much easier.
  5. Once you’re at the end, twist it all together into a bun and secure it with an elastic and some bobby pins.
  6. Repeat everything on the other side.

This is great for curly hair because it will really hold everything down in place.

Pull Through Braids
INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Start by parting the hair right down the middle and section off one side to keep it out of the way.
  2. Make a little ponytail at the top and clip it up.
  3. Underneath, go ahead and make another ponytail.
  4. Unclip the top ponytail, split it into two sections, and clip up the bottom ponytail that’s in between them.
  5. With those two sections that you made, add even more hair and make it into a new ponytail.
  6. From here, repeat the same steps all the way down. Unclip, split it into two sections, clip up the bottom, and reconnect the ponytail.
  7. When you’re done, go ahead and loosen it up.
  8. Repeat on the other side.

This one takes a little longer than the others, but it is so cool and lasts all day.
